Ace Greenberg, former CEO of Bear Stearns reveals in his candid book, The Rise and Fall of Bear Stearns, an insider’s perspective of what happened during the credit crisis that precipitated the current recession and how that crisis claimed Bear Stearns as the first domino in the falling spiral. Ace Greenberg joined Bear Stearns in 1949. He became CEO in 1978 and chairman of the Board in 1985, building Bear Stearns into the powerhouse it became during its heyday. His recently published book is the first insider account of what happened at Bear Stearns during the credit crisis of 2007-2008, one that spares no one, even himself.
