After a screening of his latest film, Kevin Spacey will be interviewed by “Reel Pieces” moderator Annette Insdorf. He is the Oscar-winning star of such films as American Beauty, Beyond the Sea and The Usual Suspects (from which clips will be screened). Based on the true story of disgraced American lobbyist Jack Abramoff, Casino Jack is a dark comedy about a fearless manipulator of politicians and of circumstances, co-starring Barry Pepper, Kelly Preston, Jon Lovitz and Rachelle LeFevre (from Barney’s Version). This evening is dedicated to the memory of George Hickenlooper – the director of this film as well as Hearts of Darkness, The Man From Elysian Fields and Factory Girl – who died Oct 30 at the age of 47. He had also been a student of Dr. Insdorf’s at Yale.
