New York City Museums in the Upper East Side

What to do in museums of

the upper east side

what NY socialites do in 10021

A New York Socialite is brought up to be cultured, educated and to love and be passionate about the arts. There is no greater appreciation than support and patronage of museums. While it does not always require a wing be named after a socialite family, love of art can be expressed in a multitude of ways. This blog is an expression for the love of art in New York Museums. You can even call it a passion.

Who did you invite to your wedding just for the pure fun of it?

My husband and his best friend go into Guyland (no, not Gay land) together. The two of them are hilarious. Everything is either "man law" or the response to some off the wall comment is "now THAT’S what I’m talking about!" They’re like Frick and Frack. Their relationship has this closeness of Alan and Denny from Boston Legal. The two of them do this Alan and Denny banter thing together. *rolls eyes*

We sent invitations to James Spader and William Shatner and their wives. We had a lot of fun joking around about their imaginary attendance while planning the wedding…with this thought in the back of my head "oh God, what am I going to do if they actually showed up?"

We received a nice persoanl note and a picture from William Shatner along with an invitation to join his fan club. ROTFLMAO. His picture is sitting on a shelf in our liquor cabinet next to our Scotch collection. James Spader ignored us altogether. Harrummph!

So….with the extra invitations that you have to order, who are you/did you send an invitation to just for your own storytelling enjoyment?
Soon to be, just reminded me. We invited the President and First Lady. They sent their regrets along with a lovely photo.

Oh this sounds funny. We have a couple extra invites. hmm…I think we’ll have to track down Phil (from Amazing Race). It’s one of those shows we count down to every week. Maybe the woman who plays Garcia on Criminal Minds too. we both love her. lol
omg! I am totally looking for Phil’s address now. Thanks for the idea:D lol

Oh if it were up to me alone, Johnny Depp and George Clooney. If either actually showed the wedding may not take place though. lol jk

Office/sophisticated chicks are freaky in bed?

From my collection of lay glory, I have come to conclusion that office looking chicks who are sophisticated looking in public, they are freaky in bedroom. Once they are out in public they don’t even hold hands together but in bedroom they become these lusty sluts. Why office chicks? Why? Why don’t u get ur frick on in public? Do not start with moral coz chicks and morals do not compute.

No self-respecting woman would get her freak on in public. Besides, if we save it for later, we end up hornier in bed.

Where do brainy chicks hang out to actually meet people?

Not that I’m necessarily what you would call a brainy guy, especially when it comes to figuring women out in general. Still, I know all of the sorts of things I would like to do, ranging from the Frick Collection to the Shakespeare Theatre Company to Kramer’s & Afterward.

Sure I like bars too, it’s just that I’m really trying to meet someone special, and I feel that bars are generally full of girls that are attracted to psychological features I simply do not have. I don’t think I’m a dork, although definitions of that tend to vary. I KNOW that I’m 30, and I don’t mean Generation Y/Newsweek 30 (the new 20), I mean 30. What this means is that I’d have better luck with a girl who appreciated PBS or a night at Wolf Trap, or the Stone House on Wisconsin Ave. Those are just examples btw.

As for girls who are looking for guys who are good at picking up girls, and, "like, you know, hanging out and whatever," some of them can look really attractive, and can be even nice as far as personality goes. I just do not appeal to them. Frankly, I trust their judgment, and do not want to waste my time or theirs "like, totally creeping them out and junk."

I don’t care if Miss Right is 21 or 31. I guess it’s only fair to say that I’m looking for someone who is somewhat like myself, and would like some suggestions from any of you out there.

And I absolutely have nothing against bars btw:)

Oh, and for those about to write back telling me to be myself, that’s great and all, but "being yourself" probably works better when you’re among people who are more like you, hence my question. If, beyond that, you’re not sure what I’m asking, then you probably couldn’t help me out with this. Thanks just the same.

(I originally posted this in dating and relationships, and so far the responses include dork this and happy hour in chinatown that, so maybe I’ll have better luck here.)

Try out Tryst in Adams Morgan. It’s a coffeehouse. I used to go there.
